The British Museum

The British Museum was enormous. We spent the entire day walking through different rooms that transported us to different centuries. It's amazing how they organized all the different facets of human evolution: from the Egyptians, whom they believed to be the initiators of civilized society, to the present day expressions through abstract pigments on canvas.

The most beautiful part of this area was the architecture. The iron clad gates. The billowing trees that created a canopy of green to contrast the concrete and brick of the city. The illustrious flowers that hung from every window sill and lamp post. We especially loved the high tea we had at the museum.
